Magic Shows

1. Stand-Up Comedy and Magic Show:  This makes a great transition from dining and conversations to focusing on a speaker or an awards presentation. Jon will grab the audience’s attention with his funny and charming bits highlighted by some genuinely amazing magic.

2.  Jonathan’s Amazing Magic Show:  A high-energy 45 minute magic show, targeted towards children ages 6 to 9, that is designed to astound and amuse all audience members, including adults. This interactive show features comedic moments as well as some truly amazing tricks. You and your guests will be in awe as Jon brings a bowling ball from the second into the third dimension, dances with a floating table, and magically revives a popped balloon animal.

3.  Balloon Magic Class with a Twist:  Jon shares a modified program highlighting balloon magic tricks then teaches the group, using hands on methods, how to make a number of creatures using the art of balloon twisting.

4.  You are the Magician:  After watching a short magic show, Jon will teach you how to do 4 tricks with every-day objects (rubber bands, paperclips, napkins, etc.) When you go home you will be able to amaze your family and friends with the magic tricks you have mastered.

5.  Farmer Jon's Agricadabra Magic Show:  Harvest magic is brought to life in this 30 minute family magic show. Using items related to farming and the autumn harvest, magician Jonathan Lopez dazzles crowds with a high-energy, interactive program. Performances are fun for people of all ages, include a lot of audience participation, and feature both comedic bits and some truly amazing tricks. Jaws will drop as apples vanish, cornstalks multiply, and a pumpkin magically appears from nowhere.

Jon Lopez Biography

Jon Lopez has been performing magic since the age of 6. He grew up in the small Northern California town of Winters and began learning magic by reading books at the local library. His first performances were at local libraries, schools and birthday parties.

After High School, several agencies picked him up, but the one with whom he developed the closest relationship was Absurd Entertainment. Under the long-time mentorship of Bosco the Magician, magic became a full time living for Jon. In 1992, Jon officially became a professional magician and opened his own entertainment company, Real Magic. He maintained the friendship and continued to work on occasion with Bosco (aka Joseph Bossenmaier), until Bosco the Magician's untimely passing in March of 2016.

Over the years, Real Magic expanded to include corporate and personal party and event planning. In 2002, Jon Lopez was named “Best Magician” by Sacramento News and Review. He has performed for celebrities such as Don Johnson, Joe Montana, Bo Jackson, and the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210. He has performed at the Horizon Casino in Lake Tahoe, Harrah’s Incline Village, Thunder Valley Casino in Rocklin, and wowed audiences at corporate trade shows both locally and out of state.
